ROBOT GRINDING & CUTTING CELLS
for automotive, aeronautic and medical componentsFLEXIBLE FETTLING-CENTER
The fettling machine is equipped with a two-station loading device, in which a casting is processed in the machine, while the second station is available for loading and unloading. Within the fettling center, the workpiece is automatically picked up by the robot and processed programmatically on the respective separating and grinding units. After machining, the workpiece is deposited again and guided out of the robot cell via the rotary table.
The flexible robot cutting and grinding cell can be equipped for all customer-specific requirements. Optionally, the robot center can be equipped with a conveyor system for the separated feeders. Thus, the circulation material is easily and effortlessly discharged in a container out of the fettling cell.
EQUIPMENT OPTIONS

For removing feeders and sprue supernatants. The high performance of our separation unit guarantees an efficient and cost-effective removal of cycle material.
YOUR ADVANTAGE: CUT TO FINISH - Finished castings directly out of the machine, as a subsequent grinding process is unnecessary in many cases.

With single or double spindle for grinding of iron castings with both corundum and diamond discs.
YOUR ADVANTAGE: With a double spindle, two different thicknesses of grinding wheels can be used, so the robot grinding cell is even more flexible.

For the removal of riser rests with a removal rate >1 mm per stroke, even with high-alloyed steel materials.
YOUR ADVANTAGE: Nearly no process heat enters the component and tool. For you, this means no structural change on the casting surface and no cracking on the workpiece.

The robot is designed for use in the foundry field. If desired, robots from other manufacturers can also be used.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CUTTING AND GRINDING PROCESSES
for high quality and reliable results on steel castings
- Avoidance of "blue cut"
- No structural change in the casting due to process heat
- No cracking
- No process heat in the tool
